About the Ena Marley

Ena Marley is a singer, composer, and songwriter committed to use her creative knowledge in order to reflect stories and aware people about social problems, environmental issues, and consumer-facing lives, talking to a new generation that sometimes look aimless.

She is from Madrid, plays the piano and sings. From the very beginning she has been studying classical music in the Conservatory during the day, and playing songs and stories about life at night in various music events in Valencia. Her style is a mix between both of the currents, the classical piano and the thoughtful one.

She has influence in her style from the humor of writers as Eduardo Mendoza, songwriters actors as Tim Minchin, the proudness of the Spanish tonadilleras in her singing, and the touch of Dani Elfman music as an ensemble.

She is forging her style and performing around Spain and in grace of the Scholarship of Berklee College of music in the masters degrees of Contemporary Performance.

Biography

Ena Marley is a classically trained pianist who has developed skill in composing, songwriting, drama and singing. 

Born and raised in Madrid, Spain she began playing piano at the age of 8, since then she has trained herself to be a talented singer and pianist. That allowed her to be an active member within the spanish community in performing as well as collaborating on various projects either in Music, Drama or as an Host. 

In 1998-2001 she participates in some competitions of Carols with her mother, singing, and changing the lyrics, acting and making a humor duo both of them. They receive some prizes, first position, second, or third. She continues her studies in the Conservatory of Madrid and Valencia, in Spain. 

2006-2007 she collaborates with some Spanish rappers as Hijos Bastardos, or Nasta Mc. In 2009 she begins to develop her life as singer and songwriter in a group called “Seven ways” being chosen as artist from Nokia Qualid. 

She prepares for her undergraduate in Paris with Simona Glavan, and in EEU, Utah Provo, with David Glen Hatch.Between 2010-2016 she has been doing her studies in piano learning from Luca Chiantore the value of the culture and knowledge and from Carlos Apellániz the value of the spontaneity and live performance. 

In 2015 she record in Barcelona with Albert Moraleda her first album. In this album for piano and voice, she mixes classical concepts with pop melodies. It is called “Live a life”.

In her second album she is singing and playing piano too, but, with a more theatrical touch. This album is called “The key of Ena” and talks about pollution, current affairs, and daily life. During this moment she receives a scholarship from Berklee College of music for continue her formation and performing skills. 

After Berklee, looking to the eyes of the jazz pianist “Polo Ortí” she is involved in projects related to media and new currents of playing and composing.
